Sometimes dreams can come true! Captain a yacht sailing through the tranquil waters of New Zealand's marine wonderland, swim alongside dolphins in a sheltered bay, laze in the sun on a deserted sandy beach, snorkel in water so clear and clean that you feel like bottling it.

Great Escape yacht Charters can help you make it happen. Our yachts range in size from 2 to 6 berths and come complete with auxiliary motor, dinghy, life jackets, charts and tide tables, stove and cooking equipment and VHF radio. You bring food, a sleeping bag, sun hat, camera and your choice of companions.
Even if you have had limited sailing experience we can assist with training courses to suit your needs.

Yacht Charters

Davidson 20 - A small boat with a surprising amount of internal space. Sleeping accommodation for up to 4 persons for short stays but recommended for 2 persons on longer trips. $120 -$160 (depending on season)

Noelex 25 - With its drop ballasted keel, this spacious boat performs like a small keeler with the advantage of less draft. Suitable for 2 couples or a family group of 5. $160 -$250 per day (depending on season).

Noelex 30 - Two cabin comfort for extended trips allows for a maximum of six crew. fast, comfortable sailing $ 250-330 per day (depending on season).

Raven 31 - Our largest boat, comfortably accommodating up to 7 persons in 3 cabins.$300 -$390 per day (depending on season).

Basic Sailing Lessons: Qualified NZYF Instructor, boat handling (sail or power), anchoring, sail trimming, basic navigation and man overboard drills.Maximum 2 persons per boat. Cost $140 per person per day, (1 or 2 days)

Fantastic 5 day Adventure: 2 days instruction, 3 days exploring the Bay of Islands by yourself and buiding on your new skills. Maximum 2 persons per boat, 4 nights accommodation onboard. Cost $445 per person.

Level 1 and 2 NZYF Course (6 Days): 3 days full instruction, 3 days cruising. Course includes log book, course manual, certificate, and night sail. Cost:$590 per person.

Learn to Cruise Flotilla Charters: Spend 4 or 5 days exploring the Bay of Islands with other yachts, evening barbeque, island walks, navigation exercises and fun races. A great way to build your sea-going experience and confidence. One guide/instructor per 3 yachts.
