Boat, Bike and Watersport Rentals

At Bay Beach Hire we specialise in sea kayak tours and rentals. We supply you with the leading kayaks and safety equipment available on the market. Our fleet is made up of single and double sea kayaks all of which have been selected for their comfort, stability, sea worthiness and performance.
We also have sit-on-top sea kayaks for rental, these can be used by anyone, regardless of age or experience.
Freedom Sea Kayak Rentals, the Bay of Islands offers some of the best sea kayaking in New Zealand, for those who want to explore the islands for two or more days we supply all safety equipment and secure parking prices from $40.00 per day.

Kayaking Tours

No previous kayaking experience required. Skilled guides will familiarise you with paddling techniques and equipment , all at you own pace. They will then lead you on a tailormade tour exploring islands, mangroves, rock gardens, historical sites while providing information on the history about the Bay of Islands and native wildlife that inhabit it.
The sunset tour includes a visit to a Russell vineyard plus there is nothing like watching the sunset from the water
A morning or afternoon tea stop is taken along the way where you can take advantage of the snorkel gear and fishing lines we supply free of charge
