| Explore islands, beaches and bays on our amazing sea kayaking adventures in the Bay of Islands. The Bay has over 140 different islands, is the most historic part of NZ and has some of the most beautiful coastal scenery in the country. Coastal Kayakers offer sea kayaking from half day guided trips to Waitangi, Mangrove forests, Haruru Falls… to full on three day expeditions. Explore outer islands with lagoons, natural rock caves, and quiet sandy beaches, front up to the torrent of Haruru Falls or camp out on a deserted island. Swim, snorkel, explore, fish… interacting with marine wildlife on the way. We provide kayaks, all necessary safety gear, laminated maps, food, tents and cooking equipment and help with trip planning. | Coastal Kayakers has many years experience in running group
tours for schools, conference groups, language schools and corporate team building
programmes. We have the flexibility to tailor our trips to different group requirements
and we can structure these tours to be adventurous and enduring, or sedate and relaxing,
incorporating the mangrove forest, Haruru Falls and Motumaire island. On all our tours our experienced and friendly guides give informative and educational commentaries on the mangrove eco-system, history of the area and the bird and marine life. Instruction is given in basic sea kayaking techniques and rescues. |
