Bistro 40 is situated on Paihia's waterfront with cosy indoor/outdoor dining. It offers the best of New Zealand cuisine with an emphasis on flavour, matched with an extensive selection of New Zealand wines
The restaurant is housed in a colonial style building that dates back to the late 1800s. Tables are lit by candlelight to create a warm ambience and intimate mood. In summer, tables sprawl across the courtyard where a view of boats in the Bay are silhouetted by the rising moon.

The knowledgeable and friendly staff are happy to explain the intricacies of the menu and recommend a wine to compliment the flavours of the meal.
Bistro 40 is open for dinner from 6pm. It is fully licensed and caters for functions. Bookings are recommended.
